Who is using what? I am on iConnect and am happy with the connection but surprised they don't have a user portal to track usage etc.
It's a monthly arrangement 100gB @100mb for 599
What are the others like?

I signed up with Vox, fibre should be ready sometime in December.

500GB @ 100mbit for R849, uncapped from Midnight until 6am as well as 1GB free mobile data a month and 1TB account which is valid for 12 months. I am thinking maybe the 300GB for R749 is better for me though. 500GB is a lot!

That's amazing pricing.

Where did you see this?

Sorry dude you are wrong you don't get midnight to 6am uncapped. I phoned vox and they said the uncapped is only on the ADSL products.

I'm on the 1TB 100mb/s option and paying R1099

I've only had the line for 2 days and was trying out some downloading and saw that. It may be a false positive but thats what I print screened.

That is Utorrent's mistake not his.

Not uTorrent or his, Fibre is not like DSL where it's limited by the physical connection. Fibre, in this case (Fibrehoods) is rate limited on the modem (in most cases, obv ymmv and not the ISP (exchange, like Telkom is) so you can see bursts as high as 1Gbit in some cases. This happens a lot at our offices where we pay for 100/100 and since we're all hooked up via Cat6a if I had to do a speedtest when it's quiet I could expect about 300-600Mbs.

That's quite a interesting screenshot there, I get 13MBps on my connection from cool ideas.

Could you tell us what you get when you do a speedtest?

Ahh alright, good to know that the uncapped does not apply to the fibre.
Still a great deal if you ask me! :D I personally doubt I will go over 500GB per month.

Those speeds are interesting indeed.

Here's that picture you asked for.

In my experience with uncapped products you always get throttled/shaped in some way, so I would rather stay away from uncapped.

With 1TB of data it actually quiet difficult to think of things to download to use that much. Even if I streamed continuously for 30 days in HD I don't think you could reach 1TB of data and then I would have to buy a new hard drive every 2 months.

Vox just rang me regarding my application via Fibrehoods. The lady confirmed that it is a pure GB package and currently there is no uncapped form midnight till 6. She did not know if this might change in the future
