"In contrast to the previous Fiesta model, the ST now offers more power with a 1.6-litre EcoBoost petrol engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission and offers 134kW of power and 240NM of torque. Acceleration from 0-100km/h takes just 6.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of 220km/h. Fuel efficiency is rated at 5.9-litres/100km with CO2 emissions of 138 g/km.

The Fiesta ST’s powertrain has been fine tuned with features only previously found in larger performance cars, including enhanced Torque Vectoring Control (eTVC) and three-mode Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and rear disc brakes.

Interior and Exterior Features

The sporty and more distinct Fiesta ST is styled with a unique body-kit which includes a new large trapezoidal grille with honeycomb construction, dynamic headlight design and dramatic rear diffuser element. Also there are new Recaro sports seats and a Sound Symposer to filter engine noise, giving the driver a real sporting experience.

Other features include the MyKey and Sync technology functions, alloy metal pedals and gear shifter, an ST steering wheel, as well as 17-inch alloy wheels. The model is available in five exterior paint colours including Race Red, Frozen White, Molten Orange and Spirit Blue.

R25 000 cheaper than a Polo GTI! :D:D:D

No DSG:(

ST, the new auto box with paddle shifts is a huge let down in the new RS.

Clio is an auto... I don't see the point of an auto hot hatch... I wouldn't buy one

I would love to know if it really gets 5.9-litres/100km

They don't, hence the reason i would get the Polo Gti, 2nd hand of course:p

Gah, a sports hatch with an autobox; a pox on on you :D

I highly doubt it, even their 1.0 Ecoboost with a claimed 4l/100km was getting around 7/8l/100km with real world driving.

It was more like 13l/100km when the motoring journalist was really messing about. I'm afraid that the Fiesta has gone from an economical hatch to a city car.

I'd save up abit/get a discount and get a Focus ST1 if I had Polo GTI money... Makes more sense IMO

I think the Polo is a hot hatch, the ST1 is a warm hatch.
Doesnt make sense, why not save MORE for the ST3? Or more for a second hand RS or save more for a Audi RS3 or save more for a Bugatti!!

They do as a matter of fact. It's an option on the 2.0L Tdci called Powershift.

It's available on the petrol and diesel models and according to some reviewer's, Ford's dual clutch, semi-automatic gearbox system (PowerShift) actually performs better than VW's DSG.

ST1 is more powerful than Polo GTI.
