Fifa 09 Fans?

Wanna find out from the football peeps...Any fifa fans out there? Just got fifa 09 for xbox 360....:eek: They just get better and better and better. Anyone else??
 
Big fan, been playing it on PC since available, always have loved Fifa, play the manager mode.

Chelsea FTW!
 
FIFA 09 is great

In my 3rd season of Play like a pro, really enjoying it!!
 
Maybe it is just the fact that I have got used to fifa..been playing since I think the 99 release. PES is really good though. Always liked the realism. But 09 has finally got the realistic edge to it.
 
I miss fifa, my 2008 version was stolen a few months ago. Would love to get 2009 though. I'm sure it's better on the XBOX than on my PS2 ;)
 
@ Headsore - tell me, can you play with the keypad as well or is it only analog?

I played FIFA before at a friends place but it could only be played with the analog sticks, which sucks - im a keypad player.
 
I first started playing with Fifa 98, then got 2002 (best one in my opinion) skipped 03-06 as they were complete rubbish then got 07,08 and 09. I still enjoy 07 more than 08 and 09 but I love 2002 the most.
 
I have both pro evo 09 and fifa 09, had them since release.

Fifa 09 is head and shoulders above pro evo. Graphically its amazing, you even see the sweat on your players.Pro evo is laughable if you try to compare its graphics to Fifa.

Playability is as realistic as being on the pitch, Pro evo feels too much like an arcade game.
 
Fifa is awesome on xbox.. but on PC i despise it. graphics arnt as good, gameplay is slower and overall shet.

You talking about fifa 09 or 08?
As 09 on pc is a lot different to 08 on pc.
 
I prefer PES. First time I played Fifa09, I beat the dude 4 games in a row. this was barely a month after he had beaten me in Fifa08 twice and scoring 7 goals in the process. Better than 08, but still Fifa. As arcadey as PES might be... its still tops for me.

Which version are you talking about. I have both fifa 09 and pes 2009 on pc. For me there is no doubt that pes is still the king when it comes to the pc. Graphically fifa might have a slight edge,just but then the ea game suffers from slow downs due to their incompetence in not enabling both cores on a cpu for their game. Pes has both cores enabled so it suffers from no slow downs ever.

PES's game play is also not arcade imho for me fifa's is much more repetitive and arcade in style.

Also the pes be a legend mode is to me vastly superior to ea's be a pro. EA may have invented it but pes perfected it.

What you on about I find no slowdown during fifa 09 and pro evo is far more a arcade game than fifa will ever be.
Also Pro evo is the easier of the 2 when it comes to scoring goals, goals just involve shooting enough times outside the box.

Also go look at any games review site, they will agree that fifa is by far the better of the two.

The reason why PES 2009 is being given a harsher time of it this year is because these things aren't big changes. FIFA 09 is the better game, not only from a graphical point of view, but from a basic gameplay point of view, and EA has tried to tailor the PC version to the hardware. Playing PES 2009 after a FIFA 09 session makes you realise that, actually, there's not much about Konami's game that couldn't be achieved on the PS2 and almost no effort has been made to build a game suited to the PC

When I have all settings maxed during both games pes will run at a constant 60fps while fifa will on occasions slow down to 45 fps it only lasts a few seconds but its still there and this is caused because the game doesn't use both cores on dual core cpu's.

I haven't found it easier to score goals in pes, in fact I find it the opposite.

Don't trust review sites so I don't really care what they have to say. Also if you read the comments on the review most of the users who posted said pes is the better game on pc.

I guess we will just have to agree to disagree on this.

Also this comment from the review is simply untrue. If this was the case the pc gamer would be getting the exact same game as the xbox 360 version of fifa, which isn't the case. The EA decided to make their game cater for all pc's instead of giving pc gamers the same game as the xbox 360 version. It certainly doesn't come close to using high end pc hardware if it was doing that than the pc version of fifa 09 would have better gfx than the console version but that isn't the case.

and EA has tried to tailor the PC version to the hardware.

We can agree to disagree but it seems almost every review site has the same view regarding the 2 games.

Doesnt matter, its a damn game at the end of the day.
