Fifa World Cup 2026

Don't forget that Messi got away with just a foul for this in the opening game against Algeria. VAR didn't intervene either.

Reverse the roles and the Algerian player would have been lucky to stay on the pitch.

You all seen the video of Argentinian fans being let through and Egyptian fans being searched?
When asked security lady says its policy.

Game has quarters, instead of halves. Gonna have a half time show so extended break, President calls and has red card rescinded.
Let alone whats happening around the world outside sport.

Lets be honest. America has shown us, the whole world, to be a bunch of cucks.

The US's confederation is a lot weaker then either Italy, China or India face and they still failed to qualify in 2018.
Its only them, mexico, canada and the Caribbean islands.

China is ranked below Oman, the UAE and Qatar.

In qualifying they drew with Singapore and Thailand in the first group stage, scraping through.

In the second group stage they got belted. Japan annihilated them 7-0 and they even lost 0-1 away to 150th ranked Indonesia.

India was even worse, not even making it out of the first group stage, losing at home against Afghanistan.

Population and resources available to them, they are both absolutely horrendous when it comes to football. North Korea has qualified for more World Cups than China.

Makes sense: only one of those countries has a long history with terrorism. Public safety comes first.

It's not that they're averse to sports - just not that keen on football. China, iirc, has the most gold Olympic medals in history, and they probably see cricket as a religion in India: for many it's the only way out of the slums.

Saw an interesting stat: before Switzerland, Argentina will not have played a single team in the Top 20. Knowing that, and seeing everything Argentina have gotten away with along the way, I'm beginning to lean further towards the "it was decided before the tournament that this WC was going to be handed to Messi whether we like it or not" camp.

The US has the most Olympic medals and by some margin.

China also excels at the ''niche'', mostly individual sports. Diving, weightlifting, table tennis, badminton, gymnastics and shooting are their top medaling sports. When it comes to track and field and team sports (ironic) they underperform. They usually lead the medal table over the first few days but once it moves over to the blockbuster track and field events, the US hauls them in.

As for India, agreed, cricket is a way out. Field hockey is also hugely popular over there.

But if you are using the population argument to criticise the US' lack of success (which is the argument I was responding to) while also ignoring the fact that football is not even close to being one of the most popular sports over there, then you have to apply the same arguments to China and India and both are dreadful.

Wait a minute. How does being based and searching Egyptian fans get you to cucks?

The hydration breaks are silly. If anyone is a cuck it is FIFA for allowing too much American culture of watching ads into soccer, but that's about it.

Team sports vs individual sports. Olympics is very much based on individual merit and really hard to make political.

China is supposedly very keen on soccer, but it is mismanaged and political.

They also seem to be doing okay in golf and tennis. Individual sports.

Genuine question - what history of terrorism?

Edit: look at Argentina's past - plenty of internal strife. And the little matter of the Falklands war :)

Which has nothing to do with soccer. Try again look at Egypts soccer riots.
