Must say the Yaris facelift don't look too shabby either.

Decisions decisions. So start of April, dad's buying me a car. R90k budget. Sister might stretch by another R10k if need be. Now obviously as a 22 year old, inclination is to go with looks. I've got in order of precedence:
- VW Polo
Budget stretch, seen a few around R95k - R105k mark.
- Hyundai i20
Classy looks, and few around budget.
- Opel Corsa
Might be slightly off budget like the Polo in terms of a decent one.
- Polo Vivo
Would consider it, but twin brother has it, and so darn everywhere!
- Ford Figo
Little, nifty, quite affordable, and prob the most hassle free in terms of budget.
Not looking at any specifics like fuel savor, or engine capacity etc. For the budget, might be inclined to buy off an individual. But Vivo and Figo being the only "dealer" ones.
P.S I don't entertain Picanto's and Etios's.
P. P. S, my dad's quite biased about any car above 70,000KM and 3-4 years or more older.
Why does me sink every time the Figo is suggested.![]()
Then go for a Fiesta. Same as the Polo / Vivo argument - if you have a choice, take the car that originally came in that shape. So, in other words, the Fiesta and Polo are better options than the Figo and Vivo. Why does me sink every time the Figo is suggested.![]()
Because you're afraid it won't pull any fanny.
Oh you'd be surprised. Actually thats been working out well recently. e.g. VW dealership tells me "here is a list of sht that is broken but we don't have parts - vehicle too old". Then I take said list & armed with a credit card get that stuff sorted out in a cost efficient manner at a 3rd party. VW collects basic service charge & I get stuff fixed in an efficient manner. Happiness all round.:wtf:
You still service it at the stealership???
I was actually referring to the 2002 - 2007 models...sorry, I forgot to add that in my postHmm, yes true, might be another close contender as well. The 2009-2011 models that is? I've actually looked at it. Looks decent. Some with few KM's and decently priced well within my budget.
