Hi, I need to encrypt some files ... like 5 million of filesize 3Kb - 200KB totally close to 150GB for now.
I have tried Axcrypt but it did not manage all of the 0.4M of files that I ran overnight. Axcrypt attempts to shred the files and I don't need that option but cannot turn that off. As the requirement is that the files be encrypted, but stored directly I am not to create compressed password protected archives. So the 5 million files are to be intact but encrypted.
Any suggestions of freeware that can encrypt the contents of files quickly? And still leave behind an explorer view? Can truecrypt allow one to mount a volume and present it to windows as an explorer drive? Performance ?
