ok so i quick formated and installed windows now i need files that were on the pc yes, im helpin a friend out i backup my data, so i have used Recuva with good results, what else can i try??? need a program tha goes even deeper???

Eeeek! If you have installed windows to that drive, there is a good chance your files have already been over-written!

but try some of these tools anyway...

try to run it for a memory stick so you don't overwrite more stuff

It normally works like this,the deeper you want to go the deeper you need to put your hands in your pocketstis true.recovermyfiles seems to a choice of mine but the userfriendly bars is way down
