File Sharing in Win 7

I recently installed Win 7 from Vista 64bit, where i had set-up my media player to my network through the ADSL router to access files video directly from the folders on my PC through the network.

I tried setting up this same set-up in Win 7 but if i try to access the network from the media player none of the shared folders can be seen. The media players network setting are limited to IP address and subnet. I can ping the player from my pc and have granted "everyone" access to the shared folders.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem might be?

I solved that problem with a little editing of my registry. mVix USA has a tutorial for it (based on windows vista) but it worked for me all the same.
