Filebot Alternative

I've got 3.7TB worth of share, I renamed everything manually including removing stupid full stops between every word and adding dates of releases.

Take some time to do it manually and then you will have it up to date then you just need to rename a few at a time.

Best method is to copy up to the episode number then paste when renaming with F2 and punch in the episode number.

EG, Game of Thrones - S04 E0
That is just insanity.

I ran a Plex server on a Raspberry Pi 4 and it did not always work well with the app on my MiBox.

I have Kodi installed on the MiBox, and it will add the files with correct names, but sometimes it just misbehaves(especially if there is a sample file in the mix - I sometimes forget to remove all the extra folders) Also, I like it when it is nicely named :p It brings joy to my heart
I used to be OCD like that but since going with Jellyfin files just need minor organising before throwing them into the Jellyfin library and it just works after that. All I'm worried about is the end result, I have no more more need to worry about what it looks like under the hood because after copying the files over I never see it like that again. An RPI isn't enough to run Plex or Jellyfin, it'll work but in my experience it’s not enough for a snappy interface even if you aren't transcoding.

I have an old desktop I might run headless as a media server and see.

It was a game changer for me, the interface is awesome and Jellyfin is free along with the apps, works really well.
If I can set up the remote viewing so I can watch my content on the road/on holiday that would be even more epic, I use a mobile connection at home with no static IP so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get that one right but I’d love to get it up and running.

I used to use a cron job on my Pi to update the DNS for a domain to my public IP at 30 minute intervals using a wget command from cloudns.net for a domain I loaded there. Worked quite well for the FTP server I set up to share files with my Brother in Law.

Over the past 15 or so years I came to learn that this market is so small and restricted that there is no competition, All decent software are paid for. So, if you download daily and need to rename files for your media software, then just going out and spending that US$48 for a lifetime license is worth it.

It works like a bomb!

I downloaded the portable version just to test, and it works better than the installed version I already have.

On the version I have installed, I could only scrape from The Movie Database for both movies and TV shows. This version has all the databases working. I am a happy chappie :p
This fork does still work but it's not great for Movies, unless I'm perhaps doing something wrong?
TheRenamer used to great for movies, what else is out there still free and works to rename movies automagically?

I will check for you. I managed to get a version of this with a Java activator script.

I did the activation and updated it to latest version. I no longer need to remove the *. "s in the filename in order to get it to rename.

I use advances renamer with it to create the folders with the correct name and year.

Thanks, please share how to do that, can you rename movies with the latest version?
No longer needing to remove the *. "s in the filename in order to get it to rename would be great.

But why? You can just stream anything you want to watch.

Oh wait, nope, nope you cannot, not even if you pay for every single streaming service and cycle each region with a VPN, even if it's available now, it won't be tomorrow, for some reason.

Also, "pirating" is more often than not much less of a schlep than paid services, 123movies has seldom let me down.
This. Just use Stremio with lifetime Offcloud or real debrid/torbox.
