Filter coffee brands all taste the same

Difference, yes.

No, I just find the notion that you can only get good coffee from an espresso machine laughable, that's all.
It's all a matter of preference. I prefer espresso based coffee, my cousin who is an actual coffee fundi likes his coffee brewed.

How do you make your coffee?

If you enjoy milk based coffees then an espresso machine is the way to go.

How do you make your coffee?

So many different ways. D2D I have a bean to cup for convenience sake, if the power is off, or if I just fancy a change, I’ll use a moca pot or the French press. When I travel to the UK I use an aero press… hell, as long as it’s caffeinated and fresh I’m happy.

Fresh beans, kept in the freezer, ground only when you are ready to make. After that, make it according to your preference. Ta DA!

So kettle water too hot? :erm:

Yes a standard kettle does not a good coffee make.

Especially not if used immediately after boiling.

Also please define “filtered coffee” because basically all coffee is filtered except instant.

If all beans/grinds taste the same to you, then your process suck. Get rid of the press, it is not for you.
