TELKOM Media’s fate will be decided tomorrow when Telkom shareholders meet to vote on the closure of the pay-TV project.

Govender said there would be enough competition in the market, despite Telkom Media’s closure.

Regrettably I have to disagree... As we have seen with Vodacom and MTN, two companies are not classified as enough competition but as a duopoly.

Forget Vodacom and MTN, just look at our banks. Even four companies aren't enough to bring about any real competition.

It was merely a rouse. A ploy to extract more of our hard-earned tax through semi-government funded failures with excessive executive salaries. Quite typical for Telkom.

True all money comes from shareholders which include the government and whos money do you think they use

Telkom gets wads of it's money from PLC .. that's us, the tax payer. So yes, our money goes to Telkom Media.
