Final Cut Pro and Soundtrack Pro

Well i am at wits end, i have no idea how to get this right :/

I keeping getting my synced audio out of sync when i send my audio to soundtrack pro from final cut.

Can anyone help? or can you send me to someone who can maybe help?

It would be really appreciated

Soz. I hardly use Soundtrack Pro myself. I suggest you post on the Creative Cow forums or the Apple FCS forum.
 
Is Soundtrack set to 48khz? Aslo make sure the frame rate is matched in fcp and soundtrack.

Also, try exporting your aiff from soundtrack using 32-bit floating point, some people claim this solves the problem.

the whole thing is i don't want to export the aiff

I found a workaround but it still doesn't work as it should :/
 
What are your Sequence Settings? Apple - 0
I don't have any issues and I use:
48Khz, 16 bit and Grouped Channel
and my project preferences in STP are also 48Khz and 16 bit
and don't forget to set the Video Frames per second to 25

Send to multitrack project, then do a whole lot of extra steps to get it back into fcp

What basically happens is that FCP makes the audio file TC(timecode rate) 30 instead of the normal 25, and so everything goes out of sync.

I set FCP and STP for 48khz and 25fps still the same problem

Do you guys have Final cut studio 3?

Yes, we have FCP3. I'll speak to one of the editors to get some advice because it's not my field of expertise.
Are you using STP to clean up audio? Might be easier as a workaround now just to export the entire aiff.

i am actually applying a compressor and levelling the sound, and lastly cleaning it up.

Well i will have a look at what i can do its just frustrating that the "send to" command doesn't work as it should.

sure I understand, but if you're just doing some limiting and cleaning up, working on the whole aiff is probably going to be your quickest workaround for now.
