Ok so last night i jammed XIII on my house mates Xbox and it straight away brought back the love for the whole FF chain now im really considering getting this over cataclysm, anybody else thinking about getting it or am i just being crazy !

It is hard to fully communciate just how excited I am for this game. So I'm gonna go with no, you're not being crazy?

Whoohoo im nto crazy im not crazy
/runs to change nickname :D :D :D

LOL i am going to pre-order it this weekend but it doesnt look liek too many people will be :P

Played the BETA this weekend, and got bored -.- And cant wait for Cataclysm to be released! I dont like the MMORPG gameplay final fantasy provide much.

Also played beta and was very impressed with the graphics, but the gameplay.. bleh. I'll stick to Lord of the Rings Online and Runes of Magic till Tera, Rift or GW2.

Anyone know if FF XIV will have some kinda trial? Would love to give it another chance just in case the beta was not all it could be - just not prepared to dump money on it that could be used as 2-3 month sub on something else or to buy a nice non-MMORPG, just to test it.

yeah im also hoping for a trial.. i wasnt very impressed with the beta, also couldnt even run it on my machine on lowest graphics.. i heard that alot of people had that issue and it was a performance hog.. hopefully that fixed that. maybe i didnt play it enough but i didnt get into it easily like when you play wow..

No hint of an open trial just yet, but the CE of the game definately comes with a buddy pass [15 free trial] and I'm sure the regular edition will ship with the same pass.

why is it south africa is only getting it around the 8th-15th of next month? other games like wow and halo are always released here on the international date

The retailers claim that the local distributor of this title (not sure if its Megarom or SK) only feels like pulling its finger out of its arse then, meaning we are left waiting.

I pre-ordered a CE copy through Amazon, and it has yet to arrive.

i played the hell out of ffxi, (and every non-online FF) so far, so i am pretty excited about ffxiv. Wouldnt mind a trial / beta invite if anyone has one, would love to have a look at it.

Yeah if anyone has any beta keys or trial keys please do share PM me :) im still debating wether to buy this a trial would definatly help me decide. where can you get the client from ?

A couple of days ago you could download the retail client as well as the first two patches from megaupload. However it seems SquEnix have ensured they were taking down. I'm sure a torrent file for the client is still floating around somewhere.

And I will happily give away my buddypass when the game arrives. Sadly it seems today will be another day of disappointment on that front.

thanks - will check all my trackers later to find a copy....key undoubtedly will be tricky :)

YEah i have also asked on my Gaming if anyone knows where i can download it from

Good day All

I play FF online, and can't wait for the new release, hopefully by this weekend we will have our copies, and we can start in the city Ul'dah.(Figaro Server, for those who want to join! :P) We are about 6 ppl playing it that i know of. The new graphics is amazing, and yes you have to have a good machine to play it on, but it does use less cap than playing Castle Age on Facebook..lol

Also remember, that this is a Japanese game, that is why the gameplay is so different, not just click click, this is mostly keyboard driven with macros to help you do shortcuts for special moves. Once you understand this then it becomes really fun to play.

They also changed the quest, so that you wont have to sit for hours to accomplish things, this means that everyone can be on the same level as other players, sorry for those who play 24/7, you can't do that with FF.

Well that is my 2cents.

Does anyone know of any forms for FF here is SA...

Well iv'e been so amped to play the new FF online, but it seems I will possibly be canceling my pre-order. Iv'e been following beta reviews and impressions quite a lot lately and nothing seems to be positive at all, except the graphics which apparently are not be able to be run full on an HD4870x2. It seems like their lovely idea, to try invent something new, is failing hard. Looks as if the PC version is a nice long big beta for the PS3 version. You can read here : http://pc.ign.com/articles/112/1123824p1.html

think i will wait for the new wow expansion the comments and reviews dont look good, here are some comments i found.......

Menu Tetris, unintuitive, tedious, slow, uninspired, BORING, etc. All add up to NOT FUN

If you like sitting and watching a bunch of cutscenes, then this is the game for you. If, however, you want to play an immersive MMORPG then your time would be better spent playing any other MMORPG out there.
The graphics are very nice, and the stated system requirements are actually higher than what you need to play the game. I was hoping that Square-Enix had learned from the mishaps of FFXI, but this game plays the same, and has a lot of the same shortcomings. Yes, the game is hitchy. Yes, the UI is almost nonexistant. Yes, following the 'storyline'... well, good luck with that one.
I read another review here that this is a game that you have to 'lean how to play' in order to play it. I couldn't agree more, the game does not guide you at all. To get the most out of this game you need to have one computer running to play it, and then another computer to look up on the internet what you are doing and how to do it.
I am glad that I didn't spend more money on it, like for the Collector's or Limited Edition (like I have ordered for Fallout New Vegas). I am going to keep trying to play it because I spent $65.00 to have the right to play it. I WISH they had released something like a Demo for this game, or let you have a free trial. Reason they have not done that? Because, if you where to be allowed to try a trial, nobody (but the most devoute of FF players) would buy the game.
I wish there was a way to get my moeny back for this game, it is a rip off.

I will be short. I haven't been playing WoW or any other MMORP games in severla years, so I am not a typical WoW crybaby.

This game hase awesome graphics. That's it ... nothing else to this game. In fact, this is not a game, it's a nightmare. It makes you feel very stupid. It willl leave you frustrated 99% of the time.

I've enjoyed the game the first 10 hours of playing - as I was just killing things and making progress. Then I wanted to start crafting things (I wanted to be a goldsmith), so I spent next 10 hours trying to figure out how. Let me tell you - in those 10 hours, I failed to figure this out . This game will NOT tell you what to do. Instead, this game wants you to go on the internet and re-search how to do it yourself. I don't want to go to school to learn how to play a game. I wanna PLAY the game !

Many people here review this game with low score supposely because of "slow and horrible UI", "bugs"..etc. I was willing to forget these things (and yes, it's true, the game is super buggy and super slow, but will reward you with awesome graphics in exchange) ... But common, give me a game I can play, not just watch!

A complete waste of my money. Seriously.
