Final Fantasy XIV online

Hey guy I am posting here looking for a work around for the ClickandBuy issue many seem to be having. Whenever I try to make an account with them for FFXIV payment I get "Unknown Address".

How does one get around this!?

Update.

Your ZIP code and locale has to be spot on or you will fail. Also now I need to get ClickandBuy to "unlock" my account. Sigh... what a chore to play a game. Also if anyone is considering the Crysta points they are not supported in SA

When creating, or in your case now, re-creating your SE account, say you live in the UK. Then buying Crysta with paypal is a breeze.

So there will be no issue lying about where I live? Because I am still having no end of problems with ClickandBuy and it seems unlikely to get sorted out.

pngykarp are you using Crysta?

Yes I'm using Crysta and there may well be problems regarding lying about our location, but I too had problems with ClickandBuy so I was left with little alternative really.

SE really dropped the ball on their payment options, it seems like its a ballache for quite a few people.

It took me forever to find this out but if you use the postcode 4700 it works !!!! :D so you can still say you live in SA but use 4700, its like the only SA code they accept :P

Let me quote what I posted on metacritic about this game...

This has got to be one of the largest disappointments ever. As a Final Fantasy fan I can't fathom what Square Enix is doing anymore. This is not the quality I expect, it's simply abysmal. The graphics are fine and the music is enjoyable, but beyond that there is nothing. The story is lost and frustrating to try and follow, leveling up is a chore, the "mining" systems are horrifically boring. The battle system in not intuitive at all and is simply a matter button bashing. Many of the promises made about the game have not come true. I am disheartened to say this, but I think this way as well be the "Final" Final Fantasy. The quality of the series is no longer worth it, and it is simply selling because of it's name.…

Needless to say, it got about 20 hours of my time, and I'm not really intending to play much more. I think maybe I'll wait till the PS3 version comes out, maybe by then they will have improved the overall feeling of the game... "maybe"...

I can agree with you that the name is the only thing selling it. After FF 10, the rest were all not Final Fantasy games. Imo it's all a result of less effort, more laziness and no heart. They need to visit Hideo Kojima.

Watched a gameplay video on youtube a little while ago, thought it was absolute rubbish. Checked a video review on gametrailers and I was right. This game is plain terrible. The only thing that's nice is the visuals.

It's sad though, I had really really high hopes! :( Imo they tried something "different" with focusing too much on these new aspects.

It sucks so bad, and I haven't actually played the game at all!!

You install, update, then you need to create an account with your CDKEY, THEN you have to create this fking stupid account on ClickandBuy, for which it cant even see my address properly, if I haven't found this thread I would have been lost.

Then I had to enter my Credit Card Details (wth??) and even that gets a boot leg of "Unable to verify card" or some **** "Please make sure you have an international pay credit card"

After I actually got past that part (I was really getting gatvol now) I have to verify my card with 2 random payments I have to make to ClickandBuy.

"this may take up to 3 days to verify"

F that ****

I declare that I have just wasted my money on a piece of plastic disk and a small manual, awesome.

How is it possible that a company can make you NOT want to play their game at the registration stage?

really really poor, I would veer off anyone contemplating buying this game, you'll regret it, SEVERELY

Excuse my bad english.

This is how bad this game must be sucking:

Rumor: Final Fantasy XIV draws a $26 million ragequit

But even if you hate everything the game turned out to be, you have to admit that you can't make quite the spectacle that one unnamed Japanese player did -- a rage-fueled quit that involved selling off $26 million worth of Square-Enix stock as a parting gesture.

Square-Enix experienced a definite dip in stock value on the 7th, dropping from 1800 yen a share to 1735 a share before recovering later in the day. According to Japanese sources, this was preceded by a rather angry dispatch from a shareholder explaining that he was so disgusted by Final Fantasy XIV he no longer wanted any of the stock.
