Kind of pointless blaming the ref, Spain just won and Holland didn't capitalize.
Not so entertaining but a good match and good win for Spain.
Great for Casillas, made 2 great saves that denied Holland a goal.

Sorry just found out he is not South African. apparently it's some Spanish guy named Jimmy Jump who his infamous for invading pitches especialy in the UEFA
 
Well at least one of my fav's made it to the final.

What to do now since the SWC has gone.
Going to get boring again :p

Well there's the Tri-Nations to get us going.
Still hope to make it to soccer city next month.
 
Man of the match = referee
Missed zero Dutch fouls, even made up a few (yellow card that got the defender sent off when the defender barely touched the Spanish forward)
Missed every Spanish dive, and the most obvious pull on Robben. How did he miss the defender hanging on and doing cartwheels/backflips/360's on Robbens back?

Both teams has good chances that they didnt take, and Spain could only finally get through when the Dutch were reduced to ten men. Were the Spanish really better on the day? I dont think so, it looked 50/50 to me with the ref swinging the game
 
This is the first and last world cup soccer I will be watching. I cant stand a game that is decided by the ref.

Me too, I have decided to boycot all soccer until they get a better system in place, whether it be a referral system (captain gets 2 chances to ask the tv ref), or the ref on the field can ask the tv ref, citings after the game, whatever. Its the year 2010 for crying out loud, use all the cameras on the pitch to make better calls and lets have some proper soccer, not this flopping fish nonsense

I have to agree with sentiments like this, I was never a fan but after the final even more so.

I guess I will continue "not understanding the game" for a while longer :rolleyes:
 
the ref sucked during the first half mostly, but I predicted Spain would win so not too bothered.
 
They say diving is bad, if Robben dived/fell he would have got a free kick and Puyol a red card... because he stayed on his feet he lost out, bad reffing, no wonder players dive!!!
 
I didn't watch the final. It has to do with Spain. Their strategy slows the game right down, it's incredibly boring. It's why for all their games they only won by 1 goal.. Except against honduras when they won by 2.
