picked a link and read a tad. I still won't go with that study to be 100% accurate. They make good points and it makes a very informative read, but from normal every day life, I see people being people. Nerds being horny nerds, women being car guards etc.

Its all comes down to the thrill of the chase for both men and women.
People cheat on each other because their lives are dull and boring, their partners are dull and unadventurous in bed, or their sex lives are one-sided ..one or either partner has no great interest in sex, often, this can happen to women after childbirth, they lose their sexual desire and their sex appeal.
The OP's article is psycho-babble clap trap, as most often than not it is fee thinking liberal types that are more sexually adventurous as opposed conservative individuals, and it is more likely to be the free thinking intelligent individuals who find excitement and intrigue in new people or partners, as they need and require mental and physical stimulation more than the conservative.
Higher IQ individuals require more stimulus than lower.

No other things like working. Just go have a look at developed countries. IIRC Switzerland and sweden both have negative population growth and the average person there is smarter (I believe better trained and informed + developed) than the average person in china and india as well as 99% of african countries.... see the difference is that the more developed people have 100 other things to do while the less developed people are only thinking of eating sleeping and fornicating
