Firefox needs to upgrade its Download Manager.
Hello BB_matt.
Totally.
That feature sucks with Firefox.
It might be best to disable this feature in Firefox.
But then as we are in South Africa and Telkom is in charge, we could portion part of the blame on their pathetic system of 24hr resets and 3 GB Caps.
My point here is that if your IP was fixed, this problem would not have happened in the first place and secondly, who would care if you had a 2 or 8Mb connection as that download would have flown in within a few minutes and lastly that 100 or 200Mb is added to your 3Gb usage although you essentially got nothing for it.
And furthermore now you have to waste another 2 hours of download time and usage to re-download the file.
So an already expensive service is just made more expensive.
Pathetic.

So pissed of in fact, that I feel like seeking out an alternative browser, because ?
THE DOWNLOAD MANGER IS A PIECE OF **** !!!
Sorry, I'm INCREDIBLY angry.
I've been downloading the Fear demo since 2pm - I was 96% done when my bloody ADSL connection reaches the 24 hour point and blips off.
Firefox was unable to handle that - the download just sat there doing nothing.
It wouldn't pause, restart or do anything else.
It really is the worst part of an otherwise excellent product and what pisses me off, is that the team has had AGES to make something better.
Maybe I'll try Opera or something, I'm really dissapointed now.
Yes, I hear you say, "why don't you use another download manager"
Because I don't want to - I expect my BROWSER to perform my HTTP downloads.
