Hi all

I'm having a problem with Firefox 3.0.3. I have two tabs open with the following pages: 1 and 2.

This report also contains technical information about the state of the application when it crashed.

Any ideas on what the problem could be?

Edit: I have tried re-installing FF, but the same thing happens. Could it possibly be bad code on one of the open pages?

Have you got the Sun Java Pack installed?

If all else fails, uninstall FF with www.revouninstaller.com and then reinstall (use moderate mode in revo). Make sure you have Java installed on your system.

I opened both tabs and my FF3.0.3 did not crash.

both of those site open fine for me.

When you do a re-install... make sure you remove ALL previous traces of Firefox.

There is some in your Program Files Folder... and there might also be some in...

...\Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data\Mozilla
...\Documents and Settings\User Name\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla

Tried that - still crashing.

I can vouch the VLC player (new) does this to me on sites where Apple Quicktime plugins are needed (forums etc.)

I do in fact use Opera, FF, IE and Chrome ;) I use each one for different sites. The browser I use the most is Opera anyway :D.

I also use Opera and love the way it syncs my bookmarks with Operamini on my mobiles.

FF crashed and Vista gave this info:

What is Data Execution Prevention?

Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a security feature that can help prevent damage to your computer from viruses and other security threats. Harmful programs can try to attack Windows by attempting to run (also known as execute) code from system memory locations reserved for Windows and other authorized programs. These types of attacks can harm your programs and files.

DEP can help protect your computer by monitoring your programs to make sure that they use system memory safely. If DEP notices a program on your computer using memory incorrectly, it closes the program and notifies you.

On my laptop I use Windows Mail for my personal email accounts, and I installed Thunderbird yesterday for my work emails.

Problem is Thunderbird also crashes after a few minutes. WTF is going on? Of all the programs on my Vista install, only FF and TB seem to crash continuously :(.

I got rid of FF and TB on my Vista install.

On the browser side I'm now down to: Opera, Chrome and Internet Explorer.

On the mail client side, I'm using Windows Mail for personal email accounts, and Outlook for work email.
