Firefox 3.08 Released
Friday March 27, 2009

Not everyone at Mozilla has gotten the memo yet, but Firefox 3.08 has been released.

The release notes indicate that the two security bugs this version fixes should be detailed here, but the disclosures are not there yet. Nor is 3.08 listed yet in the main Firefox download page. All this will likely be fixed by the time you read this.

No problem, we know from previous news that they are the bug exploited by Nils at CanSecWest and the memory corruption flaw released yesterday with proof of concept code on milw0rm.

My firefox just automatically updates, does everyone else's not?

It should, yes... but I have 6 computers at home and 8 at the office... kinda stupid to let all of them update on their own, when I can apply one download and save 100 Mb in bandwidth. The updates are also rolled out, so it might be days before everyone is updated.

hmm IE x and Chrome are like having sex without a condom :O
