I upgraded to FF3 a few weeks ago and all of a sardine it has lost the plot and gone all moggy on me. For some unknown reason, I can no longer bookmark pages, I click bookmark and nothing happens, I can't clear my private data anymore, I clear the data and if I type in a Url in, it shows up. It has also seemed to have lost the ability to remember logins etc. Like for mybb, every time I want to post or reply, I have to login, It remembers my details, but I have to login every time. Also for example if I go to FB it used to always store my email addy and all I needed to do was plug in my pass, now I have to retype it every time. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing happens. Am I just being McNoobsteen or am I missing something? :D I may be forced to use IE again which I REALLY don’t want to do. Is there a way to uninstall, and clear the registry or something?

O and one more wierd thing - If I visit a page and want to go back, the back button is no longer green, so it looks as if there are no pages before the one I am on if that makes any sense :D

Thanks guys, managed to sort it out. Uninstalled and deleted the FF folder as well as all the data in the application data etc. Reinstalled and all seems fine ;)

In the url bar there is a way to not get that popup its a star in the origanal skin. On the Right. Will see if i get a place where u can switch it off.

I have finally decided that FF3 is the biggest load of tripe! After sorting out my issue (see above) boot my machine this morning and same thing has happened again...What a load of C**P! Even IE is better than this rubbish!

I am now using Opera, I do find FF a bit quicker than Opera, but at least it doesn’t corrupt my profile every week. :(

I have loaded FF3 on a number of PC's without any issues to date on any of them.

I would recommend backing up all your bookmarks etc as a fail-safe should something go awry, but to date I have yet to utilise the back-ups.

I had the same trouble with Firefox and used Apple Safari for a bit. I just wished they had mad Safari the same as Firefox. Once you tried Firefox and then you never leave it. Im back on Firefox at the moment and havnt had trouble with it again. Im currently running Firefox 3.0.2. The latest version I think.

Download it here: ftp://ftp.saix.co.za/pub/mozilla/firefox/releases/
Theres some addons aswell, but I dont know how to search for a specific one that I want. Im looking for the "Video Download helper" one. I guess Ill just have to wait till my International cap is back up. Local is just very lekker. :D

Thanks Arcapello, I was using FF 3.0.2. I am now using Opera and I am actually enjoying it. Still not as fast as FF, but all in all does the job first time every time. And I rather like the speed dial function, very handy. ;)

Still have not found a way to switch this pop-up off.

This is what it looks like.
