Right click the top and click Bookmarks Toolbar, also if you haven't done so already click the orange Firefox button at the top and click Options translator - Menu Bar

Last time I checked the chrome interface doesn't allow for ad blocking per se, only hiding them (i.e. still gets downloaded). Even worse the last chrome dev I talked to seemed to think that its a very low priority issue.

Same with noscript. still downloads just doesn't run them

Well that's pretty pathetic imo... that reason alone would make me stick with Firefox.

... Tbh I find this way of thinking is quite selfish. Website like MyBB offer a wonderful free service, and they can only do so because they survive off ads. Now by you guys blocking them completely, you are preventing what little money these sites are getting. And they not even asking for that much, the burden on you is absolutely minimal. I don't think people are meaning to do this (or I hope not), they just don't think of the consequences of blocking the ads.

That is why I think Google's blocker is brilliant, as you get the best of both worlds (no annoying ads to see, but still supporting free websites).

Sites I frequent I turn ad's on, like Engadget, Slashdot, MyBB and Gizmodo for the rest adblock plus & noscript is there to keep my PC safe.

Its not about the ads its about the crap that can install and potentially damage my system. Chrome does not get this as it runs the crap in the background.

Fair enough, but I think you may be being slightly paranoid, as I don't have any of those addons without issue. Also, isn't it mainly noscript that helps out with that, without removing the ads.
