Firefox 4: What to expect

I'm rocking out with Beta 3. It is impressive, even using it more than Chrome now ;) Although plugins aren't working on it yet....

Enjoying Firefox 4.0b3, looks great and so far is performing great. Hopefully some of the Addons will be compatible by the Final release.

Tried it and can't wait for the final release and updated addons, using previous version for now because of addons.

Let's hope it fixes the bugs in version 3.6.8
3.6.8 and XP SP3 in some cases can crash your PC, even corrupt the installation.

Firefox 4 Beta 3 is really cool. Its fast, stable and easy to use. I see a lot of bugs have been fixed since Beta 2. Excellent. :)

I installed the Beta... but something happened and now I am back to 3.6.8??

Anyway... I'll stick with version 3 for now since all my extensions work nicely with 3.

I hope they have feature where you can move the tab buttons back to where they were. That is the sole reason I installed Chrome and removed it again all within an hour...

Crash Protection. With the growing popularity of web applications (as opposed to simply web sites) Firefox 4 includes crash protection. This means that each open application, or tab, is run as a separate process. If one plugin or application freezes or crashes that tab can be closed and the other open tabs are not affected.
Where did you get this info from? AFAIK, only plug-ins are run in separate processes.

Only thing that annoy me is FF now does the same thing IE does on the task-bar when you got more than one tab open - that grouping-of-windows thing. I liked that I could click the icon and get to FF and switch tabs in FF, now if there are more than one tab open and you click the FF group on task-bar you first have to choose a "window". Guess that comes from the tabs each running in it own process.

4 doesn't work on Windows 2000, and there is much work still to do before they can release a final version. Otherwise 4beta3 is great. I like it.

You can change that setting on your taskbar, tell it not to group windows. That annoys me as well ;)

Loving Firefox 4 so far! Only had 2 bugs and reported them.

Think I might just be overlooking it, but where can one get to the downloads window to see all your downloads? Was easy to get to it before...
