My Firefox in Windows 7 detected the upgrade yesterday already .. the ubuntu version has not detected the update yet
One of the guys in the office also said that his Firefox picked up the update at home (on Windows) last night, but this morning his work machine (also Windows) wasn't seeing it - strange.
Bleh I used to be a HUGE Firefox fan, just before they brought out FF6 in desperation I downloaded Chrome and since then I have never looked back..
I lie actually I did look back when FF6 came out,I was one of the first to download it and found it clunky and slow vs the pure awesome of Chrome. I still use it when I need to open another facebook account or gmail account on my split screen and find it so clunky and that’s with no plugins.
I am going to try this release though, hope it rocks again!

Chrome is also my preferred browser, but I use firefox because of Video Downloadhelper
On a side note I worked out what causes the FF freezes (some others here complained too)...its MSE. FTL...now I've got to find another AV.
Well, I am on V7, still using 171mb of memory. Useless![]()
Couple of educated guesses plus trial & error. Disabling MSE real-time protection & no more freezes. That fixed *my* FF freezing...others might have different issues. How did you find that out?
