Firefox active window deactivates making me have to click twice

Hi all

Recently changed hardware, now I have an error in Firefox where when I middle click a link to open it in a new tab, the current tab/entire Firefox window gets deactivated, making me have to click once to reactivate it, and once again to click what I need to click.

Any ideas? Tried Googling and disabling add-ons.

Have reinstalled FF...

Was using a cheap Logitech optical mouse. Reverting back to my G9x solved this. Strange problem though!
