Is it just me or is Firefox going backwards with every update? Getting to the point where I am considering using only Chrome. Takes about 20 seconds for homepage to open.

Firefox Android latest version is stuffed. Checking now on the PC comparing loading times with Chrome it seems to take longer to respond. So maybe you have a good point....

Using Opera as my daily browser after the latest Firefox update and I find Opera is simply faster and more user friendly with dark themes, adblock, vpn and Whatsapp support built-in.. The startpage and it's customisations are much better than Firefox has.

I find with the latest Firefox update, that I had to completely uninstall and re-install from scratch. Has been fine since.

Before the clean install it was using 100% of my SSD, occasionally locking my whole computer.

Does Opera have extension support?

Will try it. The Android version is completely messed up. Don't these people test their products.... eish.

Mine is running fine, but I noticed that the latest update removes a lot of old legacy extensions and turned off Adobe Flash.
Before then I was having a problem with CPU spikes in the previous Firefox version... but now I suppose it was one of the add-ons that has now been removed.
I notice that Facebook open in a tab chews a huge amount of memory and resources.

Latest version seems really fast. Had issues on Mac with the previous version, no issues on Windows

Same. The newest version, even when on dozens of tabs is still using minimal memory and remains fast.

Checked on my wife's desktop and my laptop. From clicking on the icon till homepage (Google) opens, between 7,2 and 8,3 seconds. Chrome opens the same homepage in 1,3 seconds. That is where Firefox was 2 weeks ago.

It was running buttery smooth on my PC until I discovered last week that it was maxing out my bandwidth on idle for some reason (even with no open tabs). Would anyone know why it does this? Have had to revert to Chrome ever since.
