Firefox mobile browser just "days away"

Initially Firefox mobile will only be available on Nokia’s incoming N900 smartphone, which is based on Debian Linux.

Pity! :( But looking forward until it's available for my Nokia.

What about symbian nokia? It's about time we get competition for opera desktop and mobile synchronization.

For symbian (also for WinMobile 5.0-6.5), I recommend SkyFire - www.skyfire.com. It is absolutely brilliant, by far the best browser out there. And for those with s60v5 (touch phones), there will be a final build release in January, at the moment only Alpha release is out, yet that release is 100s :)

Cheers

I wonder if it will bog down my phone like it's big brother does to my computer.

i've been using weave for a month now. brilliant. can't wait to get my hands on a n900. no more xmarks, delicious or other miff browser backup solutions. finally, my browsing experience on mobile and desktop and mobile can be united. the mistake opera made was not to open up their software for link. go ff go.

i agree with @sarcasm. a turbo-like proxy would make it a killer app. anybody know about plans to use a mobile recompression proxy?

Still running the latest Opera Mobile on my Omnia and it's going to take a lot to get me to move away from it.

Tabbed browsing FTW! :D

EDIT:

The following is fscking impressive!

Firefox has shown considerable growth in 2009. It’s most recent desktop version, Firefox 3.5, is now the most popular browser in the world with 21.93% of global market share, overtaking Microsoft’s Internet Explorer for the first time.

Well done Mozilla! :)
