When I click on firefox to start, it takes very long to come up.
Can I make it start faster.
How?

It is a old pc, but IE starts much faster.
I mean, you click, then wonder did you, wonder again, start free cell, play a bit and then their it comes.

Components of ie are preloaded with windows - not so ff. M$ doesn't like firefox. They don't like to make life easy for anyone choosing to use any browser that is not their own. I notice the same thing, even on the fastest pc's. It's something you just have to live with.

Definitely remove your current profile and create a new one. Failing that, do a complete uninstall - remove the application directories, registry entries etc, restart your PC, reinstall FF.

I actually started using chrome cos o the slow FF startup. Its terrible cos nothing compares to FF. I think its time to go back to FF despite the slow startup.

As with all change, some will resist. I know there are people that still use the Win95 style start menu today. Chrome is simply the king.

This is a problem for me as well. It started a few updates ago. I think FIrefox has become bloatware. Time to look for a slimmed-down browser.

Same for me also. I do use alot of addons though. So only start it up to do web dev and other work. For quick painless browsing I load Chrome.
