Hi there someone?
Please help me with the following problem.......if someone can?
I switched on my pc today, clicked on firefox to browse, and I received the following error" Firefox already running a window, please close or restart XP"
So I closed windows, boot up again, and the same error is there.
I then uninstalled firefox, reinstalled and run the proggie again. It tells me the same error " Firefox already running a window, please close or restart XP"

What can I try. Nothing works, must I format NOW!!

try alt control delete, and check if it is running under processes

Check this link . Assuming firefox isn't actually running (in processes), look for that parent.lock file and wipe it

Get Opera...

I switched for similar reasons... the crashes and the 2-3 second load time, compared to opera's instant launch time

Did it, but at that moment nothing is running under processes (FFox that is)
