Can anyone please assist to escalate a service request with FireStream? Their helpdesk number listed on the Vumatel website just goes to voicemail and the emails are not acknowledged.
I’ve canceled an application with them in December 2018, opting for another ISP. I received the other ISP’s router hardware, plugged into the Vumatel fibre and was connected. However, after two months, when I started to have intermittent connection, my ISP informed me that the Vumatel object number was never released by FireStream. Numerous calls and emails to FireStream remains unresponsive. Any advice?

Never heard of this company.

Domain exist since 2015.08.
You are brave to use startup / new ISPs.

I have been Firestream ftth client for over a year. This morning ALL Firestream users in my street in Lonehill are down. Cannot contact firestream at all. Emailed [email protected] no response. +270105000320 says number does not exist. Called Supersonic as it runs over Mtn fibre and they say we are not their client. Anyone know how we resolve this please

A resident says... "I just spoke to Mark at Firesteam. There is an issue on on the Mtn side with their software configuration (not the physical fiber). Mtn are working on the issue but are unable to give a timeline. Firestream's call centre is overloaded due to the Mtn outage that is why no one can get through to them."

Firestream is becoming a proper pain to deal with. Anyone else in sunninghill dealing with connectivity dropping all the time?

Any recommendations on a proper ISP?
Was hearing good things about coolideas but now I'm seeing the opposite.

I have been having issues with Firestream too. Lots of drops in connectivity, lousy download speeds. When i report these to the support team (via email) i get no feedback at all.

Cancelling with them is also an issue - i see a number of complaints (hellopeter) that they dont release the line

Interesting. I was just told that my line is "scheduled for cancellation" end Nov.

Why end of November. Did you request the cancellation? If so, should it not be end of October (1 months notice)?

Only firestream knows why. And they don't even have the decency to call me or email me in response.

Sound familiar, as i mentioned i emailed them for support - have not received any responses. On the positive side, at least you dont need to deal with him any longer

I can NOT physically believe that FireStream is still a "Thing"...... ANYWHERE!!!

This lot sold me a connection that included Vumatels Installation and Activation for R999.00. Then decided to close shop and now I am being Hunted by Vumatel for their R1725.00 for the installation that Firestream apparently never paid over to them.

I was actually under the impression they went bankrupt earlier this year when I could no longer get hold of them. I did try to contact them, because Vumatel sent me a notification saying "FireStream will no longer be your service provider" (Which was quite the joke at the time because I NEVER heard Anything from FireStream to this effect, which actually means that they couldn't even be bothered to notify their existing customers that they would not have any internet or that they were closing)

I then started looking around for a new ISP, and found Active Fibre to have the "Best" deals at the time. Their Contract was also "Free Vumatel Installation of infrastructure and Free Activation" for a grand total of R0.00 but the monthly payments were quite a bit more, so I dropped my connection to a 20/20 because of this.

To the day, one week after I signed up with Active Fibre, I get a phone call from Vumatel demanding payment of R1725 for the Infrastructure, so I couldn't even get the benefit of Active Fibres "Free Installation and Activation" as the deal was done, and I told them that I already had the infrastructure....... smh

Up until today, I was honestly under the impression they had closed their doors after their "CashGrab", but it would seem I was wrong

Ouch. Good luck bud, getting hold of Mark to do anything was such a mission.

Look it was great in the beginning, but after a while everything went south, and getting anything done was never easy. At least now you can move on - hopefully you get your R1725 back

Thanks, but nope, can't get hold of Firestream, I think they blocked my number, or just screen the calls, so now I am battling it out with Vumatel, which will not end well..... For me, because the invoice I have from Firestream says "Activation" only, and to get Vumatel to call up a snapshot of their server for when Firestream had their add on Vumatels website is an impossible task.

When I got the fist call from Vumatel demanding that I pay for the installation, I very calmly said "Oh, Ok, So in other words because Firestream went bankrupt, and you can't get the funds out of them, you are now going to harass Me for the money" to which he replied, "yip...... sorry".
