Firewall on/off?

Hi, 'm playing Magic online and C&CIII, can't connect to servers if my firewall is on. Can't get the port settings correct, don't know how to allow the ports they need. How safe will it be to leave my firewall off, or can someone maybe help me to fix this problem. Using a primium combo.

Not safe at all - and definatley not recommended... You may find some help here... http://www.portforward.com/
