First ever Ubuntu tablet coming soon

Now that I read up more on it, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubuntu_Touch
I still don't see the point, how much app support is there? That will make or break it.

Can run HTML5 apps and there are native apps also. Telegram I think for example has got a native app for Ubuntu Touch. App selection for all mobile OS's was small when they first surfaced. Time will tell if it succeeds or not, but to say there is no point is not correct. It provides more choice to the public, and the design is very different to any mobile OS out there. If it is a successful design and way of doing things we will have to wait and see.

Telegram is not the only app worth having :D

We'll probably hear about it being canned in the future just like Firefox OS. Google just need to work on the Android tablet interface. With Remix OS and the Pixel C being a great iPad competitor (held back by it's software). We'll see Google focus more on Android tablets with Android 6.1 and further down the line Android 7. I already love the multitasking that you can enable under dev settings on Marshmallow. Gave my 'ol note new life.

Still waiting for that powerful convergence device. You know, a mobile device that, when in a docking station, transforms into a full PC.
When is that coming....

According to the report, “Canonical is working on implementing support for X11 apps on its Ubuntu mobile operating system, allowing users to run any graphical software that is currently available in the Ubuntu repositories”.

So all the apps I currently run on my Ubuntu box will run on this device. That sounds like win all round to me.

I want to flash my Prestigeo tablet with this!! or anything other than the android 2.0 it runs

What happened to that Ubuntu phone review that MyBB was working on?
