First games you can remember playing

it is so crazy, that i have pretty much played 98% of these games u all mentioned.
And there are so many more that i have on my list that hav'nt even been mentioned.

i even remember playing rockford which was friggen awsome with the little monkeys chasing you only to get a rock fall on ur head...and then it was bedlam, that came in tandy colours. pink and cyan

Olympics (diving and archery are all I can remember)
Airborne Ranger was also awesome!
And AllyCat!!

Good times...

There are those Apogee games: Caveman, BioMenace etc that are now freeware from the Apogee website. There is also a dosgames archive (same.com i think).

There are endless treasures out there that are great for those little netbook type things.

Low (no) sys requirements, yet still some fun!

Monty
Tongue of the Fatman
Digger
Death Track
Jack Nicklaus golf
Bedlam

The first games I remember playing were all for the playstation. Gems such as crash bandicoot and a football game where the snow looked like square pixels falling down the screen ;)

Ah, those were the days

Some dodgy Space Invader rip off on a weird system called Phillips. The resolution was so bad, it could never render anything looking remotely like a circle .

But one of the first titles I specifically remember was Horace goes Skiing on the ZX Spectrum

Back in the mid-70's - Star Trek on an old IBM terminal - my dad would cart one of these suitcase size machines home from work and we'd attach the phone to it via an acoustic coupler. The game was text based game and since there was no screen so every little move was printed out on paper. :)

remember those stupid calculator-display handheld games? i had one where you`re a diver trying to reach a treasure, and you had to dodge octopus tentacles
I had that one, called Octopus, also Parashute and Donkey kong.

wolf - commadore 64 (and actually a whole lot of others as well)
first game on pc (avoid the noid)
first color game on pc (grand prix)

Pong! On a modified b&w TV, my neighbour built it himself.
Pong was also the first game I played. It was on this huge console-thing with 2 knobs as controllers. The machine had about 8 variants of Pong on it (tennis, Pelota, Squash, etc) and it ran on 6 1.5v D-Size batteries, plugged into whatever TV.

I had a Nintendo Game/Watch Handheld WIDESCREEN with Popeye on it.

First PC game was a helicopter game called Striker. I bought it on a 360k HOTWARE floppy from CNA for R30. It also had Ancient Art of War on it.
