. Last time I checked flying transport choppers is rather dangerous with many lives in the pilots hands. I think that is worthy of skepticism that no chances were taken especially when there is a history of it.I work with black people everyday many of whom are there by merit. No problem

Bageloo it is you and and some people that have this huge chip on their shoulders that keep forcing us to deal with the so called race issue. The black reporter in the other thread started by saying that M&F are racists basically.
This gvt does not hand out jobs on a platter, one has to be suitably qualified and experienced. Contrary to popular belief, being black is not the only criteria.

You are kidding right? Sorry which people in GVT have the right qualifications to be there besides maybe Trevor M.? And by the way as it is law, being black is a definite easy way to get in.
I thought we were talking about AA in general and not specific to gvt employees...

Pass rate was dropped?? How could they drop a pass rate? Even if they could, that would mean a less number of candidates was passing which would indicate that it was getting harder to pass. Therefore higher standards. Clearly you didn't mean to imply this. So please rephrase you "not so clever" comment.
And that means they've lowered standards??
In any case, do you have proof to back any of these claims up?

It is a fact that the pass rate was lowered. Ask any teacher. My father had a g/f who is a teacher. They are not allowed to fail anyone anymore. They have to have damn good reasons and have to explain to the Dept. Of Education why they intend failing someone.

Oh yeah, slap on the race card. Forgive me for wondering if you know what the word racist means. And to think or suggest that large scale "fast tracking" to fill quotas isn't going on is just naive.
And by the way the whole idea of "celebrating" the first black <insert_job_of_the_week> does absolutely nothing to overcome the idea that black people are somehow inferior.
