So we had a snoek braai on sunday, and we have some left over fish in the fridge. Does snoek make good fishcakes? Any ideas on a recipe?

Saludos :D

dammit ...my future mil uses hake and dammit it comes out good

and she makes a tomato relish with it

its not the crumbed fish cakes ...but very good

yeah, so... the crush recipe is indeed awesome. Didn't have breadcrumbs, but substituted that with crushed salti cracks. Also didn't add any hake, only used the braai'd snoek

Aaaaaand? when are mine arriving?

Fish cakes are awesome. I always though they were kuk until we had a fish braai (was a massive fish) at a mates place and the next day his gf made fish cakes out of the leftovers. Could not stop eating the things.

Nope. Y'all wrong. Its crocodile. See all that croc meat from the skin farms has to go somewhere. So if it tastes like fish but doesn't look like fish then its crocodile.

And thats why I make my own fish cakes

WOT ????
I had crocodile steak in a restaurant (squires loft maybe) & it was more expensive than fillet - in fact most stuff on the menu.
So, i was eating fish fingers without the crumbs ??

how rude

Fair enough.
The recipe is somewhat remiss in failing to provide adequate feather removal guidance iro the actual wings of the buffalo.
The picture in the link you so kindly provided, appears to represent the wings of what can only be described as woefully undersized buffalo.
In retrospect - all the easier to catch !
