What are the reasons against getting a Fitbit in SA?
I'm not going to buy one again because Google turned the taps off in SA. Do these still work 100% here?

Have used garmins for years, had about 6 different models, no issues thus far - and I'm enrolled in their beta program. My only issue is that they seem to have lost their mind in terms of pricing recently.

Yeah I don't know how you're going to get any warranty from an imported device. I took that risk with my Pixel. Husband also has a Pixel Watch.
