Fixing Cat5 to walls, roof

god I have such a huge ball of wires behind my HET cabinet .. it scares me !!!

my appliances in HET:
HD-PVR = 1 power cable, 1 RCA cable, 1 Fibre Optic Cable, 2 Coax, 1 HDMI
SD-PVR = 1 Power cable, 1 RCA cable, 2 coax
mVix-PVR = 1 Power cable, 1 RCA cable, 1 HDMI, Fibre Optic
PS2 = 1 Power cable, 1 RCA
Wii = 1 Power cable, 1 RCA
DVD Payer = 1 Power Cable, 1 RCA
Sony HET = 1 Power cable, 12 speaker cables, 1 HDMI cable
AV-Coax Combiner = 1 Powe cable, 2 coax cables.

I hate cables!!!!!!!!!!

Ethernet over the power lines is slow and unstable (AFAIK).
HomePlug 1st gen. was at 85Mbps*, but nowadays they're up to 200Mbps*, with most of the big boys having product, so you can now shop around.

Which is all well and good, but these suckers have a critical flaw that VERY quickly bytes you in the rear if you don't watch out for it: you have to have them on the same circuit breaker for them to work! IOW, if you've got 3 separate (plugs) breakers on your DB, best you find a way to put the device you want to communicate on the same circuit else you're SOL :rolleyes:

*theoretical speed, YMMV: caveat emptor, and all that.
