FLAC and Windows Media Player

Hi guys,

I downloaded a few FLAC albums, and I want these to play in Windows Media Player. I want them to be treated just like an MP3 file (WMP Indexes them, matches up track information and all). My question is, whats the best "add-on" I can use, or is there a setting within WMP to play FLAC files??

Currently, the FLAC files play in VLC.

Are you sure thats a good idea? Wont the quality be compromised? I mean VLC was made to decode FLAC.

No. VLC only includes the necessary codecs to play FLAC by default, by adding codecs to WMP you simply enable it to play FLAC as well.

Source stays the same so quality should be the same.

Competition, they don't like including open source stuff that competes with their own stuff. Go check the rants on MS support sites, they always just say 'wma does not support it'.
