Flashgear Missing Invoice Complaints [resolved]

Seems like many of us never got invoices but our posts were deleted when saying so.
Considering there is no rating system fore sellers here you'd think feedback would be allowed but I guess not

Let's see how long before they delete your post!

Your post was deleted because it was off topic. If you had issues with your sale then you could have posted in that thread (if locked a PM would have done the job) or started a new thread.

Now that the seller has in fact publicly stated that he provides invoices I'm willing to entertain a new thread for complaints.

I see my earlier comment was deleted. I am also still waiting for my invoice 6 months later

As per the other post: off topic. Post in your original sale thread or start a new thread.

Just to be clear. This thread is for customers who have concluded transactions and did not receive invoices as promised.

If you have other consipiracy theories or comments, this isn't the thread for it.

Hey mods please could you clear the thread. As for the users commenting please whatsapp me you have my number I am actually busy doing invoicing at the moment and can catch them up.

It's definitely no malice simply forgetfulness. No need to make a big ordeal out of nothing especially you @stokstert after all the deals we have concluded.

Apologies again to those inconvenienced by the lack of invoice.

Listen bud, no need for trolling or for being irate. I've apologized and you more than likely know I have a job and this is a hobby. You have not been scammed so don't act like it, you got hardware at an awesome price and those that have dealt with me all of the above know that I go out of my way to please my clients.

That's my part. Whatsapp me please and I will clear up these little haunting invoices.

Thanks guys.

How many times must I request or remind you for a tax invoice, is ten month really a no issue? You also know my Whatsapp, email, telephone number and PM, so there is really no excuse for not supplying the tax invoice. I have not made a big ordeal, I just stated a fact as reminders
had no effect.

You ignored my messages twice 6 months ago at which point I gave up. And clearly I wasn't the only one. I honestly don't give a **** if it's a just a hobby for you, if I spend R20000 on something, I expect an invoice or at least a response.

Have you mentioned to all those buying Dell computers from you that Dell won't honour the warranty if it's not in their name and that in order to get it transferred into their name they need the name of the previous owner, which you are unable to give?

Look, I'm sorry you don't like this thread and I hope it doesn't get cleared because if you want to sell stuff in classifieds you need to accept feedback - feedback is essential. I'm just sorry the title of this thread is so specific, a more general feedback thread would allow people to give you good feedback as well as bad, and there is good - for example the products you sell are always as promised and are always delivered, so it's a safe buy in that way.

But really, I don't care at this point, I just think potential buyers from anyone should be able to view feedback from previous buyers before making a purchase.

This is definitely not the case with the warranties however, however do message me and let me send your invoice as I have said above and apologized. I understand your frustration, but I don't feel the need to try and tarnish someones reputation and the outright rage you seem to be experiencing for a lack of invoice.

Also what you are failing to mention is that you accepted my apology this morning via PM and still feel the need to carry on. What more do you expect from me other than numerous sincere apologies?

I do also agree with there being a user feedback option like the iTrader system.

Resolution to my stupidity and forgetfulness: I will issue an invoice/pre forma before payment is made.

Since when does Dell require a warranty to be transferred?

I have in the past been asked by them which company I was from when requesting warranty on a laptop but I just told them honestly I had bought it secondhand and that I didn't know which company was the original purchaser. They seemed fine with that answer and proceeded to send a technician to swop out the motherboard without further ado.

To be fair I did accept an apology from you but my comment about seeing how long before the post gets deleted was aimed more at the moderator here than you.

And since you're taking steps to improve your service it shows that feedback threads can be useful.

Regarding the warranty ownership transfer, see here: https://www.dell.com/support/assets-transfer/za/en/zadhs1/#/Identify?lwp=rt

I confirmed with Dell on the phone, at the time, that you have to have the warranty in your name and you need the name of the person who originally purchased it in order to do the transfer. However, I filled in the transfer form and put "unknown / unavailable" in the field for original owner and the warranty was successfully transferred 10 days later - looking on Google though, people have had mixed results with this, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

I just want to emphasise the complaints here are minor, the main thing is that the product was exactly as described, the price was good and it was delivered quickly, and that appears to be everyone's experience. That's the main thing - anyone thinking of buying from flashgear, you can trust that you'll get what you expect and can feel confident sending him your cash.

Flashgear, I apologise, I didn't intend to tarnish your reputation, was just giving feedback, I've kept silent up till now but when I saw others had the same experience regarding invoices etc I decided to speak up.

They are fairly reasonable, I have never had to supply an invoice either. However their T&C's do state you need to. As all Dell owners can confirm you will never have an issue even with a second hand unit under warranty, should you - I always clearly state I am more than happy to help out with it.

But I can understand the grey area regarding this, so that is now cleared up as well thanks to this thread :)
