Love this site.. use it for calculating materials cost.. remember to add edge banding option if you are doing chipboard and add edging for your face edges..

Made some small adjustments as 3 panels will give me some extra wood. So drawer bottoms now 16mm melamine as well. Drawer frame sides only 180 deep, they could even be less.

Because of the width of your drawers, I would personally look at gelmars undermount drawer runners.. hold more weight and is going to last longer than ball bearing runners for such large drawers.. however, they are a bit more effort in terms of building your drawer boxes..

Yeah I am trying to negotiate with the wife. I am concerned about the 20KG limit on those drawer runners considering the weight of the wood as well, and who knows what she plans to put in them .


I am also seeing a vision of the cupboard landing on someone.

I added two per side in some of my kitchen drawers. Been holding up well over a few years already and one has pretty heavy cast iron cookware in it.
