HI

What is the sentech flexi account all about, I heard it in the news sometime
ago and now thay all dissappeared, what happened, I heard they were
offering cheap internet 24 hrs

Any one knows what happening

The original MyWireless packages have now all been renamed "Classic packages"
Classic Home = old 128kbps service from R499 10GB cap.
Classic Professional = old 256kbps from R699 20GB cap.
Classic Premium = old 512kbps from R1349 40GB cap.
Sentech then introduced the Flexi packages. The classic packages are all soft capped (although the days of going way over your cap have ended finally which is actually good news for most MyWireless users) whereas the Flexi packages are setup so that once you exceed your cap, you will be charged R1 per MB.

Flexi200 = 200MB cap from R199 per month
Flexi500 = 500MB cap from R299 per month
Flexi1000 = 1000MB cap from R449 per month
All the flexi packages are the same speed as the professional packages (ie 256 packages)

Hope this clears that up...

Flexi200 = 200MB cap from R199 per month (= R1 per meg)
Flexi500 = 500MB cap from R299 per month (= R0.6 per meg)
Flexi1000 = 1000MB cap from R449 per month (= R0.45 per meg)

Mywireless 'Classic' 128K 10Gig soft cap R499 per month(= R0.05 per meg)

Spot The Rippoff!

Whatever you do: don't buy the flexi package...
(unless you feel sorry for sentech and fully support their money making schemes)

Regardless of what the price per meg is, some people won't use 10GB per month, and regardless of what the price per meg is, R199 < R649.

point taken, but if you use less then 500 meg a month, you're probably better off using dialup (considering also the price of the sentech modem)

No matter how you look at it, those flexi packages are NOT a good deal, they are relatively cheap at first sight yes, but in the same way that a bicycle is cheaper then a car...

hhhhhhhhmm yeah just had a moan yesterday from a friend who took the flexi 200 package, saying she could control usage. Got her first bill, and .............. after free megs, her usage cost her R345.00..... sooo she's paid roughly R645.00 in one month???

Quod Erat Demonstrandum...

Actually it is Premium 512k at R1349 for 13 cents/meg you should compare as the flexi is advertised as that.
