Anyone know a supplier of fairly flexible hose for pressure washers?

I have a Bosch pressure washer (140bar, 520l/h) and the stock 1/4" hose is short and a nightmare to deal with as it just coils up everywhere and looks like it is going to kink at certain points.

I just purchased 15m length 5/16" hose from Kranzle. Realty good quality hose and it is way better, but still fairly stiff. It's 500bar rating is probably why.

Looking for 15m 1/4" or 5/16", but maybe rated around 200 bar would make it more flexible and easier to manage.

Look for guys that do hydraulic hoses.

The smaller the cross section and the longer the hose the greater the friction on the water. A 1/4" pipe has a cross section of 32mm2 while a 5/16" has a cross section of 97mm2. 3 times greater cross section, so a lot less friction. You can very quickly loose pressure on the nozzle and also put a lot of strain on the pump.

Thank you.
There are a few places in Paardeneiland so I'll give them a visit and see if they have a 5/16" in a more manageable form.

I was under the impression hydraulic hose and high pressure water hose were quite different, but honestly don't think they should be. Apart from maybe that hydraulics are usually stationary, low flow items.

Yes, I'm aware of the possible pressure loss on the 1/4" due to friction, so this 5/16" seems perfect. I was expecting an increase in the delay when pressing the trigger (larger hose volume), but this Bosch don't care it seems. I'll use the hose I have now with the lance, but the short gun definitely needs something lighter.
