Flight Simulator 2020

10 years ago I thought I was 5 years from having a racing game that would use satellite data to let you race anywhere in the world. Maybe MS will use this tech in an upcoming Forza
 
Seems to be living up to the hype and beyond. Been watching the pre-release vids over the past few days and everything looks as advertised. Clearly the commentators are over the moon.

Looks like this is a must-have.
 
I'm keen to see how easy the SDK is to use to add your own buildings, scenery and custom content to the Sim. Is it going to be as madenningly complicated as FSX?
 
There were talks of removing technical reality/accuracy from flight sims after 11/9, did this happen with subsequent releases of flight sims ?
 
i will get there slowly
have an old i3 now since yesterday so i can start playing older games again, a friend is giving me a 2nd hand 1050Ti so that's a good start, this time in a years time i aim to be in the sky with you guys on the 2020 Flight Sim :thumbsup:

from what i have heard the 2020 Sim now can even count towards your actual PPL. I haven't done any research myself into this

Nope, Cape Town is included in the standard edition as is all airports in SA, even remote strips. The Deluxe version includes a "Hand Crafted" airport... The standard will include Cape Town International, but it will be AI generated.

There's an brand new airfield pretty close to where I I live , I wonder if it's going to be in the game

Nice, I took off from there in a Tiger Moth 2 weeks ago and flew to Scottburgh airfield. :)

Don't think it will be on the game though, nor will Scottburgh as they don't have IATA codes... but perhaps the runway will be rendered from satellite imagery.

Im shocked that the price for the delux version has so few planes. Was expecting much more.
