So I've been on the hunt to find a free & fun Japanese themed MMO & came accross this one the old iRose Forums. It's pretty good, the PvP is awesome & the graphics pretty cute too - well my gf is hooked & my nieces go Awww.

Fly For Fun, commonly known as Flyff, is a free MMORPG made by Aeonsoft, a subsidiary of GALA Incorporated.[1] The game features a free-form flying system which allows players to fly around the landscape on brooms, boards, and Cash Shop items. When airborne, a player can also fight flying enemies. It also offers a player vs. player combat system which can be utilized anywhere with the duelling system, or in the arena, an enclosed space for free-for-all battles. There are 120 levels of progression, plus a further 60 after attaining "Mastery". The game features a soundtrack composed by soundTeMP.[2] Fly For Fun received an award for "Best Game of the Year" from South Korea's Ministry of Culture in June 2004.

Can you perhaps tell us how to register for this game? When I try I get the message:
"We are sorry. We cannot provide service to customers in your region."

I'm sorry, but it's terrible. I played it to level 45 and quit out of pure frustration. Where to begin...

The grind. Omg. It really does give a whole new meaning to the term. I think throughout leveling to 45 I did around 10 quests, all of which included me killing X amount of Y or collecting X amount of Z. The frustrating part is that it usually asked me to do that on mobs that were past my experience level already.

Secondly, there is practically no customer service. I had a few errors trying to get it installed in the beginning. I emailed support and got no reply. I asked on the forums and eventually someone answered, but they weren't staff. Utterly useless.

Another thing I need to mention is the utter spam. I logged on around 3 weeks back to check if there was anything notable that changed. There was and it wasn't good. There seems to be no chatbox moderation. The same bot was just sitting there spamming (literally, I kid you not) around 5 messages a second. It was so bad that no one could say anything in general chat because the bot's messages just pushed their messages out of the window. Trying to find an ignore feature was a whole other issue I never succeeded in either.

All in all, it's simply not polished enough. There really is no point to it other than running around bashing mobs over the head. The music is awesome at first, but hearing the same song play every time you start hitting a mob gets frustrating. The aerial combat also leaves much to be desired as it takes little skill. It's more of a clickfest. Lastly, I need to mention that in the beginning the tutorial is practically nonexistent. It took me a while to figure out what to do and where to go. (and who puts level 10 mobs outside the newbie starter area? Those Magician Troupe things I think they're called...)
