Flying car completes maiden flight successfully

clearly not what the average person had in mind...

dammit we want flying cars like in fifth element... :D

why are we working with miles in this article when the original article actually give km?

But awesome invention none the less.

I was expecting a car but it seems to be more a helicopter with wheels.......nice start though
Yeah - really does look like a gyrocopter. I'm more interested then in the car's road performance...

Don't know where you saw that in the original article... it's all in miles

who cares if the original is in miles or km?

surely all articles here should have both values, as ZA uses km..

so maybe pull up your socks and do some work when posting articles and convert it... its not hard.

miles(km) or km(miles)... either way... just do it..

A chopper car? Really?

Wouldn't like to be in the bus next to that thing when it's landing.

It's not a helicopter. The engine does not drive the rotor.

This is one of the most practical car/plane hybrids I've seen so far. All other attempts were either too complex, too expensive or too difficult to fly.

Perfect for flying over e-toll gantries.

:D

It is a heck of a lot more practical than other designs;
