Super insensitive, jinne. A more humane option would be to give your ugly baby up for adoption then adopt the kid when you back from holiday. Nobody else is gonna want the potato so you'll be fine.

Or the vomiting because they are allergic or sick and the flight is full so you cant move seats

Flying with baby?
I would ask baby for proof of PPL or commercial licence and logbook to check his/her flight hours.
Off topic:
I catch myself pushing the shopping trollies back and forth as you do with a pram to get baby to sleep.
Poeple check me out like wtf. It's like I can't help it.
And my babies are now 6 and 9.
Some habits hit hard.

So much this. I bought cheapies when we traveled. They fsck them up good and proper.

As others have said, declare at check in and take with you through security. At the plane they take it in and hold it for you until you disembark again. This was with Flysafair.
We learnt the hard way to fly in the morning when the babies are up and in a good mood. Our little one did not cry at all when we went, but coming back was a completely different story. It was close to the start of her bed time routine so she was very fussy when boarding and taking off.
Also if you need to do a nappy change mid flight only take what you need to change the nappy, the restrooms at the back has a changing station, but it is tight.
