FlySafair R5 sale - Website down before it starts

FlySafair is scheduled to begin its "Jive for R5" sale at 09:00 today, offering 45,000 one-way flights for the price of R5 each.

Customers can purchase these limited discounted tickets on the FlySafair website by queuing in a dedicated waiting room and being randomly for access to purchase the tickets.

Well, at least shoppers are not stuck in a stampede of bodies.

You're out of lucky trying to check-in too. Best to head to the airport early.

Their early check-in fails so often, I've checked in online and still been turned away by FlySafair when I got there.
I've never really had issues with it. What annoys me is that their boarding passes are not Apple Wallet compatible. I've had one issue where their check in system went down and could not check-in. Their Twitter help was really awesome, they actually checked me in. Just had to print the boarding pass once I got to the airport

It was such a **** experience, we where not aloud to board, had to buy two tickets for the next earliest flight to Cape Town. Had to then get from Lanseria to JHB International in about an hour or less to catch next flight, stressful and not fun. There was no assistance from them when I showed the confirmation of online check in. Even buying the new set of tickets the sales lady was about as friendly and help full as a dead skunk covered in cr@p.
