Hi. Anyone have a flytouch 3 tablet? What do you think of it? I'm considering buying one from dhgate.com but there are so many that I don't know which will be the correct one although they're probably all made in the same factory.

LOL i got two. Bought one for myself about 2 months ago and just bought another for a friend last arrived on friday.

First thing i would advise buying from www.chinagrabber.com. I bought the 4gb model for $190, delivered in about 20 days, I got away without paying any duties as CG had put dvd value $23 on the package.
Their are fakes/clones of clones around. "ibex" is the official manufacturer.
If you do get one your best bet is to head over to www.apad.tv and download "tims" firmware - onto version 4e already.
Briefly i love the tablet and don't go far without it. You need to understand its not going to scroll quite as smooth as an ipad or zoom etc and the screen is not as good, but for the price its great. I use it mainly for browsing / ebooks / maps etc. Sound is poor through onboard speakers, but fine through headphones or ext speaker. Video plays fine even HD and you can output video(but not anything else) through HDMI. SD card and 2 usbs work flawlessly. I cant imagine buying a tablet that does not have usb and sd support. I dont have a usb modem(use wifi), but many usb sticks now work - just check tims rom again.
If you need anything else just shout.

Thanks. Does yours have 1 or 2 microsd slots? I've been reading that the flytouch3 should only have 1 whereas the flytouch2 had 2.

Also, is the screen multitouch? Have you tried playing games like angry birds etc on it? I just mainly want to use it for web browsing.

One MicroSD if it has two its not a flytouch3.

Not multitouch, but as i only really use multitouch for pinch zoom on my phone and you dont really need zoom on a tablet I dont miss it. Its resistive touch screen, obviously not as good as a capacitive screen, but much improved on the resistive screens i have used before.

Angry birds plays fine. As do a few other games i've played, but to be honest not much of a gamer.

Can you save apps on the micro sd card?

Yes i think so. "Tim's" roms have been playing with the mount point of the internal and ext SD so apps2SD have been working in some roms but not in others. I think it is currently sorted, but have not had the need as their is plenty internal storage for apps.

Very true, ibex is the original / real manufacturer. There are many similar fakes out there.

Here is a list of Authorized iBex Flytouch3 Resellers:

also, @ AbZo the Built-in 3g Multi-touch Flytouch 4 has been released... http://www.apad.tv/apadforum/showth...ouch-3-3g-Enabled-Flytouch3-Flytouch4-Reviews

I am thinking of selling my 32gb iBex Flytouch3 for this model but am waiting to see more reviews.

Hi there, I'm trying to connect to the net on the Flytouch, running Gingerbread, it has a built in sim slot, but it's not connecting. I tried the sim slot and also using external USB 3g dongle as well and different sims/networks - any advice? Thanks

I am considering buying the Flytouch, can get it for about R3000, and its a cheaper option than the Ipad.
Can someone tell me a bit more about it, please? Whats the apps like? Adnt eh camera? And the Android apps?
Thanks guys.

That's a bit much. Was happy with mine, it was taken from me though.

What are your requirements?

Have a look at the Nexus 7 in that price range.

Trying to find the specification on this tab and all that I can say that if its still 1GHZ CPU, 512MB ram, Resistive screen, Android 2.2, not google certificated (no Google app store officially)

The answer should be HELL NO. Get a decently specked tablet at the same price: Best Android Tab around R3000
