That is something very minor. Just went to pay for things ... declined. I wanted to withdraw cash ... declined as well !

Highly unlikely. They would crash every month then and would have been fried on Black Friday.

Oh no they wouldn't. The systems involved in month end runs are way, way different to the transactional stuff like on BF. And the banks love flirting with low resources on month ends. There's a reason they have month end freeze periods where no system changes are allowed.

You mean month start , going to be quite a few debit orders bouncing.
