Recently got a message on the app for a limit increase on my Gold Credit Card.

Went through the process, and accepted a round figure limit (higher than my current limit, but lower than the limit offer).

Received the confirmation in app that limit increase is successful and is available immediately, and that I need to email id copy and proof of residence to confirm, which I did immediately. I thereafter received a read receipt for same. Additionally received an email quote with the limit increase details, which had an electronic time stamp for online acceptance where my signature would ordinarily go.

Above was done on Thursday (26/04/2018) - no limit increase yet.

FNB, one of two banks, that were above the rest, has been infiltrated.
See my other thread about debit order reversal functionality not working as well.

Doesn't make sense why they would need you to send them documents they already have. Pretty stupid.

I am with another bank and i control the limits via online banking. no hassle no fuss.

The ID part I don't understand but the proof of residency I do. People move. I assume if you don't update your details yearly they'll ask for documents if you apply for an increase or additional products.

Went through the same process in my side. That last screen on the app is always there it also says send this through but I have never done it and the credit increase was granted within seconds. Pretty much the next time a logged onto the app.

I've tried for a few weeks, the app always says successful and then nothing. I sent them Salary slips a month ago cause apparently they needed those and still if i click change, it says its automatically changed but nothing happens.

Went through the same process myself as well through the app. It didn’t ask me to send ID or proof of residence though, I had to restart the app in order to see the new changes. Process went smoothly on my side

I called them last week - gave me some story to send in ID, proof of residence (both of which I had already done), and 3 months payslip.

Didn't send anything, had basically said **** it in my mind (as I didn't really need the increased limit). Email/SMS received yesterday for activation of new limit.

In terms of FICA (which is legislation in SA) it is the responsibility of a financial service provider to ensure that the information is obtained on a regular basis. If documents are older than 3 months, it is considered outdated.

I did it a few times last year through the App on FNB Premier, didnt ask for any additional documentation.

I only got my own credit card at the beginning of last year (2nd year working) thus had no previous credit history. FNB offered me 1.5x my monthly salary as the limit on my credit card to start. I kept seeing the notification to increase it through the app. Going from 3x my monthly salary as the limit up.
One day I couldnt find the option in the app to increase so i went and asked the private banker if he could do it and he said they could only go to 2x my monthly amount. So i just left it, then over the next few months I kept getting the option to upgrade my limit. So i did it through the app, Eventually it went up to 6.5x my monthly salary. Keep in mind I had no credit history before this. I also get notified through the app that I am pre-approved for a loan of 15x my monthly salary.

FYI i never spend more then .5x of my monthly salary on the credit card so not sure how this whole algorithm works. Seems a bit crazy that all these algorithms can offer me so much.
