FNB free uncapped ADSL details

Sounds reasonable. I'm going to use this account as a backup and or as a gift to my parents who only need browsing and youtube

Its also on the ebucks website... as was stated in the article.
It is not. The eBucks website shows you your level, and that is about it. It does not show how you accumulated points in detail like the old FNB website did. What Tjoker is referring to is this:

ps. For those interested, since FNB doesn't show this on their website anymore, I created an excel sheet to help myself keep track of things I have done thus far this month, and can estimate my points for the next month.

You can make a copy of it on to your own google docs/drive folder for editing.

^ alternatively just wait until the 8th August and then the rewards tab in online banking will be back

Great news...for people who love doing their banking with FNB. :)

Impressed that they're using their own IPC and not just reselling IS or something. It shows they're serious about this.
Will make a great backup account for me. Although I would think many people would find it to be a perfect primary account.

Very disappointing. It's not that I want to abuse their network or torrent everything in the world, but other ISPs offer what FNB are offering, and also attempt to give a good P2P experience for LESS than what FNB is charging. It might be a cheap offering with the discount, but without it, the "normal price" is extremely overpriced for what you get.

It reminds me of buying electronics from Govan Mani - everything is always on special, and they have inflated "normal price" labels really badly hidden on the device, where people will see them and think "oh wow... this is really cheap, look what it normally costs!"

Ok so my ebucks paid in. Ebucks website shows reward level 2 but if I go into details it still shows reward level 1. Now I know I was on level 1 last month, and since starting to do the things to go higher level I guess that is why I already jumped a level. Will probably move slower to the other levels from here on, but should be able to do it in a few months time.

That said, the fnbconnect site still shows me getting 0% discount, I guess that will come tomorrow or the day after.

ps. Oh my credit card is still on level 4, and is still where I earn most ebucks from.

this speed test result caught my interest....

Linky

And that is probably a FNBConnect employee directly on the FNBConnect network, so nothing special, they probably peer with the speedtest server at NapAfrica JB1.

FNB connect site is now correctly showing my discount. Level 4 means R40 for 1 Mbps and R80 for 4Mbps

does fnbconnect only look at the level of your cheque account? mine shows level 1.

but my credit card account is on level 4 but i guess it doesnt count :(

Pretty sure it does, its a reward specifically for cheque accounts as far as I know.

Mine still shows no discount...odd.

Edit: nvm I see no discount when looking at https://www.fnbconnect.co.za/cpms/lin/communication.jsf but if I go to buy an uncapped account it shows the discount.
